Dadanawa Ranch is one of, if not the oldest cattle ranch in Guyana, having been established in the early 1900s. It is also one of the most relaxing places you can choose for a Rupununi getaway.
At Dadanawa you will find a unique mix of people, culture, cuisine and talent. Dadanawa with its rich and unique history stands proud as a model for Guyana as we exemplify the blend of ranching, agriculture, tourism services and conservation practices at its best showcasing our heritage, talents, landscape and the true vaquero way of life.
Over the years the original buildings have been preserved and are currently used as our guest houses. They offer comfortable and affordable guest rooms; fully equip with running water from a nearby well and electricity.
The guest houses themselves have a lot of history and charm. They rise above the ground protected from the lake of water that makes Dadanawa an island in rainy season.
The spacious self-contained room provides a beautiful view from the covered veranda of the Darukaban Mountain Range.
At Dadanawa we have beds for up to15 people but have in the past accommodated more with the use of hammocks. Insect nets are provided.
